Alsfeld is situated 118 km North of Frankfurt Main Airport,
taking the Federal Motorway Nr. 5. The main road
connections to Alsfeld are the BAB 5 Frankfurt - Alsfeld - Kassel
(Bundesautobahn = Federal Motorway) and the "Bundesstraßen"
(Federal Roads) 254, 49, 69, and 275. East-west road and rail
(Gießen-Fulda Railway; Fulda including ICE-Rail) connections.
